No! Because Truman didn't want to attact McArthur because it would have caused another World War. that was the last thing that we needed. Not long after Truman fired McArthur, we settled our disputes with China.

McCarthy's unfounded accusations detroyed many carreers of innocent Americans.
Many importand goverment officials were victim of these false claimed.
